As an international student (non-U.S. citizens and non-permanent residents of the U.S.), we ask that you complete this financial disclosure form. This form is necessary to certify that you have sufficient funds for your first year of study. If you require a Certificate of Eligibility (form I-20) for a Student Visa from Wheaton College, it will not be issued unless this form is completed and the necessary certifications are obtained. In order to obtain a visa to study in the U.S., you will also be required to demonstrate to the U.S. Consular post that you have adequate financial support for the upcoming academic year.
Although Wheaton College is able to provide some international students with need-based aid, funding is limited. International students seeking an F-1 visa, need to be able to demonstrate their ability to pay for their education at Wheaton College. For most international students, we would typically expect to see at least $42,000 available from the student's resources, set aside for the 2024-25 academic year. Students must ultimately be able to demonstrate financial resources (their own and any scholarships awarded to them) that meet the expected full cost of attendance for the year, for Wheaton to be able to issue an I-20 for obtaining the student visa. Information on this form will be used to both determine your ability to pay for a Wheaton education, as well as consider any potential eligibility for the limited financial aid we might be able to offer.
